Durability, beyond any doubt, is one of the strengths of the world's oldest synthetic roofing membrane Rhepanol^®. Beside a fully functional roof in the town of Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen that has been freely exposed for almost 60 years, proof of the durability of the premium roofing membrane from the Mannheim flat roof specialists FDT FlachdachTechnologie GmbH & Co. KG is also provided by recent survey results.  

The British Board of Agrément (BBA), Garston, Watford, Herts, inter alia, carries out regular examinations of the tested and proven synthetic roofing membrane Rhepanol^® fk. In its latest analysis, the BBA has certified an expected service life of the PIB roofing membrane of over 35 years. If the roof areas covered with Rhepanol^® fk are demonstrably being maintained on a regular basis, according to the BBA Agrément Certificate, a service life of even 40 years can be expected. In order to market the roofing membrane in the UK a BBA test certificate is required. Based on the inspections of the premium roofing membrane that have been carried out so far the BBA has already certified an expected service life for Rhepanol^® fk of over 30 years.  

The BBA's Agrément Certificates have been providing authoritative and independent information on the performance of building products for over 40 years. All technical specifications on durability, installation and compliance with Building Regulations contained in the Agrément Certificate are applicable in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Testing includes three different areas: laboratory tests always to be carried out according to the UKAS requirements, where possible; building site inspections carried out by BBA inspection teams; production control. In particular, for FDT this has included inspection of completed objects.  

Thus, Rhepanol^® fk is the only PIB synthetic roofing membrane in the world with an expected service life of over 35 years certified by an independent European testing institute. Please ask for a copy of the BBA test report at info@fdt.de.
